2) When you want to research your spec/gear so you can tank/heal/dps better, where do you go to get this information?

Noxxic.com, AskMrRobot.com, Icy-veins.com. I take them all, combine their info, put the weights of stats into AskMrRobot, adjust for my spec and play-style and go go go.


3) How willing are you to switch roles (tank to dps, dps to healer, etc.) if your class allows for it? Are you willing to switch specs for specific fights? Note: If you were recruited as dps we will understand if you do not want to be a permanent tank/healer, but it's good to know if we can hot-swap you if someone's absent that day.

I'm willing to change specs if needed. With that said, since there is such a difference in the ability of hunters to do damage without the right secondary stats on gear, other specs make me much less likely to do the same damage.


4) What is your current raid progression? If it is different from the character you are applying with, also tell us why you are switching mains.

Up to Gorefiend.


5) Do you have any notable achievements when raiding previous tiers? (e.g. Killing Kael'thas in TK before he was skippable, Bane of the Fallen King before 4.0.1, etc.)

Not within the WoW achievment system. I have however been a very trusted raider to do the more important boss fight functions where you can't fuck up...like the conveyor belts in the siegecrafter blackfuse.
I have been the top DPS in every guild I've been in (while given access to the same level gear).

6) Do you have any World of Logs reports or Recount breakdown screenshots you could link or post so we can get a feel for your performance?

No I don't sorry. I have raided will the guild a few times so there may be some that BYTM guildies have that contain me in them.


7) We have a 75% attendance policy. Obviously things come up and we understand that, however we are looking for dependable raiders. Are you available to make both scheduled raid days for the group you are applying to (Sat/Mon for5 Group 1, Wed/Thursday for Group 2)?

Yes. With that said, I do have a job where issues are escalated to me after hours so there are times when I must answer the phone or leave entirely. I'm also on call two weeks every 5 weeks.


8) Are you aware that we are a Pacific Time (PST) server? If you are transferring, it may be beneficial to test that you have adequate ping to our server (located in California) to ensure that your gameplay will not be lagged.

I am aware. I have played on the server with adequate latency.


9) What really annoys you in a guild?

Assholes. Non-skilled players allowed to repeatedly wipe the group. Gear given to guildies without consideration of skill-level or contribution. Wasting time.


10) Do you know any of our members? If so, how do you know them?

11) Are you the type to regularly visit your guild's forums? Note: We often post strategies on the forums and require that any absences be posted in advance.

I'll visit if asked to. I usually share good information if I find it, like notable patch notes, dps tips and strategies.


12) Give us a few reasons why we should chose you for our raid team.

I reliably provide high-DPS (I always try to be TOP damage, ALWAYS), positive input, strategic suggestions and some comedy.
I DON'T stand in bad, take advantage of guildies' kindness or bring shame to a guild I'm in.


13) Please take a few sentences to tell us about yourself; how old you are, what you do for a living or what you study, what other games you might play, etc.

Male, 30s, IT Director. I play LOL with RL friends and try as many new games as I can : )
I love to research the shit out of my class and spec so that I can speak intelligently about it and compare notes with anyone who does the same. I also like to help others with questions concerning my class.
I like to make sure I'm performing optimally and I like to help others do the same.
