Wed/Thurs Group 2 Matix - Balance Druid

Postby Matix » Wed Apr 15, 2015 10:08 am

1) Please list your class and main spec (including any off-spec information that may be relevant) and provide a link to the armory of the character that you are applying with (be sure log out in the appropriate gear/spec).

I play a balance druid (main spec) and feral dps (off spec). I have both healed, and tanked before but not in a serious raid environment.

2) When you want to research your spec/gear so you can tank/heal/dps better, where do you go to get this information?

I use all of the main sources including icy-veins and mr robot, but I also check out several guides on youtube and other sites. I then test out most if not all set ups and rotations to see which provides the best increase for my play style. As for gear, its fairly easy to find a BIS list for each spec, especially with the loot changes.

3) How willing are you to switch roles (tank to dps, dps to healer, etc.) if your class allows for it? Are you willing to switch specs for specific fights? Note: If you were recruited as dps we will understand if you do not want to be a permanent tank/healer, but it's good to know if we can hot-swap you if someone's absent that day.

I am not looking to change from a dps, but I am more than willing to swap for a fight here and there or if someone doesn't show up for a night. Assuming I have the gear of course ;).

4) What is your current raid progression? If it is different from the character you are applying with, also tell us why you are switching mains.

My progression this tier is 2/10 mythic, and 2/10 heroic. I could not make all of the raid days for my current guild and was just a fill in.

5) Do you have any notable achievements when raiding previous tiers? (e.g. Killing Kael'thas in TK before he was skippable, Bane of the Fallen King before 4.0.1, etc.)

I've done almost all content while it was current save a few heroic/hm/mythic end bosses. For example, in SOO we were working on mythic garrosh around the end of MoP.
I have achievements like The Immortal from naxx 25.

6) Do you have any World of Logs reports or Recount breakdown screenshots you could link or post so we can get a feel for your performance?

I do not atm, I did show Valkon some recount numbers on 3 fights last night so he/she has an idea of what I can do.

7) We have a 75% attendance policy. Obviously things come up and we understand that, however we are looking for dependable raiders. Are you available to make both scheduled raid days for the group you are applying to (Sat/Mon for Group 1, Wed/Thursday for Group 2)?

I can most certainly make 75% and aim for much higher attendance.

8) Are you aware that we are a Pacific Time (PST) server? If you are transferring, it may be beneficial to test that you have adequate ping to our server (located in California) to ensure that your gameplay will not be lagged.

I play on an east coast server at the moment, but I live in Arizona, which will be much closer and should only improve my ping. I am currently on the same time as your server.

9) What really annoys you in a guild?

Petty fights and drama. Adults should act and handle themselves like adults and be able to talk things out in a mature and respectful way.

10) Do you know any of our members? If so, how do you know them?

I do not know anyone in the guild yet, though I hope this week changes that.

11) Are you the type to regularly visit your guild's forums? Note: We often post strategies on the forums and require that any absences be posted in advance.

I am a moderately active person on forums. I will read or comment on strats as needed, though I usually get most of the information in-game as I am pretty social about that sort of thing. (discussing strats in vent and such)

12) Give us a few reasons why we should chose you for our raid team.

I am a very competent and reliable raider, I do my homework and always come prepared.
I like to keep things light and laid back but put my nose to the grind stone when the times call for it.

13) Please take a few sentences to tell us about yourself; how old you are, what you do for a living or what you study, what other games you might play, etc.

My name is Michael and I am a 29 year old chef, though I am currently working on my chemical engineering degree. I play most blizzard games like D3 RoS, Hearthstone, and HoTs. I don't play much else as I do not have much time outside of Wed/Thurs/Sun to play.

14) Please provide your b.tag to enable our recruitment people to contact you easily (if you uncomfortable providing it in a public forum, feel free to PM it to Uglychick).
