Application Questions

1) Please list your class and main spec (including any off-spec information that may be relevant) and provide a link to the armory of the character that you are applying with (be sure log out in the appropriate gear/spec).

Arcane Mage, I am familiar with all of the specs in case I need to play them for a specific boss. Even have a few extra pieces of gear that better optimized for the other specs (only really frost at this point. Just not quite enough crit out there for fire yet).

2) When you want to research your spec/gear so you can tank/heal/dps better, where do you go to get this information?

I use both Icy-veins and Noxxic to research my class. I find most the information between these 2 sources to be the same or similar, any differences I make the choices for myself based on the information both sites gave.

3) How willing are you to switch roles (tank to dps, dps to healer, etc.) if your class allows for it? Are you willing to switch specs for specific fights? Note: If you were recruited as dps we will understand if you do not want to be a permanent tank/healer, but it's good to know if we can hot-swap you if someone's absent that day.

I will totally mage tank for you any day. Can't say it'll end well but I'll do it.

4) What is your current raid progression? If it is different from the character you are applying with, also tell us why you are switching mains.

6/7 N 5/7 H 6/10 N 0/10 H. Unfortunately, my last guild broke up and pugging doesn't always get you the best results.

5) Do you have any notable achievements when raiding previous tiers? (e.g. Killing Kael'thas in TK before he was skippable, Bane of the Fallen King before 4.0.1, etc.)

I cleared all of BT and Sunwell before 3.0, during Wrath I cleared all ICC Bosses on heroic 10 and 25 man except the Lich King. After that I stopped playing, recently came back to this expansion.

6) Do you have any World of Logs reports or Recount breakdown screenshots you could link or post so we can get a feel for your performance?

Unfortunately I don't have them saved, and the website for my previous guild where I could get them from is now inactive (http://victorioussecretsea.enjin.com/ in case something changes and the site goes active again there will be links on the front page. My character in that guild was Regnum)

7) We have a 75% attendance policy. Obviously things come up and we understand that, however we are looking for dependable raiders. Are you available to make both scheduled raid days for the group you are applying to (Sat/Mon for Group 1, Wed/Thursday for Group 2)?

I can make all 4 raid days, so if the other group needs someone to fill in (assuming they were clearing different content) I'd be down for helping.

8) Are you aware that we are a Pacific Time (PST) server? If you are transferring, it may be beneficial to test that you have adequate ping to our server (located in California) to ensure that your gameplay will not be lagged.

Yep, should be no issues there.

9) What really annoys you in a guild?

When core members of a raid group decide not to show up without letting anyone know. It's what destroyed my last guild.

10) Do you know any of our members? If so, how do you know them?

I spoke with Vondo, but I don't actually know anyone there.

11) Are you the type to regularly visit your guild's forums? Note: We often post strategies on the forums and require that any absences be posted in advance.

I usually visit a guild forum I am a part of a few times a day. May not post anything, but I'll be there.

12) Give us a few reasons why we should chose you for our raid team.

I am a competent raider who likes to be the best at my class. If I'm not I do whatever is within my power to get myself there. I learn quickly, so when you want to enforce a new strategy it won't take me long to follow it.

13) Please take a few sentences to tell us about yourself; how old you are, what you do for a living or what you study, what other games you might play, etc.

I'm 26 and work in the IT field, currently looking at trying to get an engineering position with a previous employer of mine. I play lots of games, but generally stick with RPGs and platformer games when I'm not playing WoW.
