2) When you want to research your spec/gear so you can tank/heal/dps better where do you go to get this information? Nearly everyone says EJ, so impress us. Where do you go for your information besides EJ? I honestly did not know what EJ was before starting this application, so obviously I’ve never used that resource. I generally search Icy Veins, read various forums, and then talk to people that play my class. I have a few friends that have been a Warlock for a long time and I value their feedback. I also use AMR.
3) How willing are you to switch roles (tank to dps, dps to healer, etc.) if your class allows for it? Are you willing to switch specs for specific fights (e.g. a mage going frost for add kiting on Nef)? Note: If you were recruited as dps we will understand if you do not want to be a permanent tank/healer, but it's good to know if we can hot-swap you if someone's absent that day. My main is a Warlock and I am willing to shift talents/glyphs, or utilize my OS if needed. Additionally, I have a BM Hunter that I am fairly adept with (my OS is Marksmanship I am learning to tank with my Guardian Druid. I’m more than happy to play any role that would benefit the guild.
4) What is your current raid progression? If it is different from the character you are applying with, also tell us why you are switching mains. I began playing in December 2013 and my highest raid progression is through SoO normal mode. I am in progression toward HM SoO and I also completed ToT in LFR and progression toward normal and HM. I have completed some older raids from past expansions to level my character or to get materials.
5) Do you have any notable achievements when raiding previous tiers? (e.g. Killing Kael'thas in TK before he was skippable, Bane of the Fallen King before 4.0.1, etc.) I have the title The Crazy Cat Lady…
Actually, my most prestigious title according to the armory is Liberator of Orgrimmar.
6) Do you have any World of Logs reports or Recount breakdown screenshots you could link or post so we can get a feel for your performance? I have a screenshot from the instance Shadowmoon Burial Grounds in WoD, taken 12-1-2014. 7) What are your professions, are they maxed, and why did you choose these? If they are gathering professions would you be willing to switch to a more raid viable profession? My professions are not maxed at this time but before the expansion, all three of my characters had max-level professions. My Warlock is maxed in the four main (cooking, archeology, fishing, first aid). My professions on the Warlock are Tailoring and Inscription. I wear cloth so I became a tailor. I had Skinning as my secondary profession (because the Warlock was my first character and I leveled up a gathering trait; additionally Skinning gave me a small buff) but because of the expansion, I learned Inscription. The purpose of this profession, primarily, is to create trinkets through card decks. I can also craft staves, which I use as a Warlock. My Hunter is a JC and mines (mining is max-level) and my Druid is an Engineer and Alchemist. I would not really want to re-learn any of my professions at this time because they are beneficial to me and I can provide materials and goods for a raid team. That being said, if there was a reasonable request for me to change, I would strongly consider changing professions.
8) Are you available to make both scheduled raid days for the group you are applying to (Sat/Mon for Group 1, Wed/Thursday for Group 2)? Obviously things come up, we understand that. We have a 75% attendance policy. However we are looking for dependable raiders. I would definitely be able to schedule and prioritize the raid schedule. I would prefer the Sat/Mon group but I am open to either raid where I would be of most benefit.
9) In which time-zone do you play? Are you aware that we are a Pacific Time (PST) server and schedule our events at primetime for our server (usually starting around 7-8 p.m.)? If you are transferring, have you tested that you have adequate ping to our server (located in California) that your gameplay will not be lagged? I live in Florida (EST) and since joining Skywall I have not experienced any lag that was out of the ordinary (e.g., when others are lagging due to server issues). My home latency today (12-3-2014) is 92 ms, world latency 77 ms.
10) What other guilds have you been a part of and what were their primary goals? Why did you choose to leave your former guilds? I started on Rexxar in the guild my husband belongs to, but there were never any guild members online. I did all my quests alone and I had to pug if I wanted to raid. I transferred to a PvP guild for a few weeks but I do not like being on a PvP server. I met BYTM members while pugging in a raid and I loved their attitude and transferred right away. I love that there is a real community within BYTM and the comradery is exactly what I was hoping for and imagined belonging to a guild would be like.
11) Are you currently guilded, and if so, have you informed your current guild leader that you are applying with us? I am currently a member of BYTM; I did inform the GM that I was going to apply for the raid groups. I met Tana and Becca when I was pugging in a raid and I was not only excited to talk to other girls, but they were so positive and understanding. I love this guild because everyone is encouraging, supportive, and I truly enjoy the community. I also like that the guild is progressive and I have the opportunity to become a really good player and that makes the game very fun.
12) What do you expect to accomplish with Be Your True Mind? I want to hone my skills and become skilled at raiding. I enjoy achievements and I do a lot of soloing/quests, profession activities, etc. I used to be basically alone on the first guild/server I belonged to and now being in BYTM, I really want to become excellent and skilled with my DPS and tanking characters. Also, I love battle pets. I'm just saying...I really like battle pets.
13) What really annoys you in a guild? I have not enjoyed being a part of guild that is not active and does not raid together. I like getting to know people and having fun; I basically do not like being in a guild where I cannot share my achievements, talk about my excitement with aspects of the game, and have friendly, fun interactions with others.
14) Do you know any of our members? If so, how do you know them? I do not know any of the guild members personally but I have built friendly relationships through raiding in the past, joining others in activities and quests, and talking in guild chat.
15) Are you the type to regularly visit your guild's forums? Note: We often post strategies on the forums and require that any absences be posted in advance. If you're forum-phobic this isn't a good guild for you to raid with. Absolutely. I am definitely not forum-phobic! I am grateful for any/all information to improve my game play and I am a reliable person; I would definitely be able to utilize the forum to post any important information (planned absence, etc).

17) If you mated a bulldog and a shitsu, would it be called a bullshit? I am not completely sure if the genetic structure of each animal would yield viable offspring. If the shitsu were a male and the bulldog was a female and they engaged in coitus, it could be said that, “That bitch is full of shit(zu)!”
18) Please take a few sentences to tell us about yourself; how old you are, what you do for a living or what you study, what other games you might play, etc. I am 33 years old and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and musician. I play the French horn semi-professionally and I work full-time as a social worker. My husband has been playing since the beginning of the game and he is the reason I became interested in the game. We have a small family; ourselves and our two cats. I played rugby in college, I was in a rock band for about four years. I enjoy music (singing, instrumental) and I also like crafting (knitting, making sea shell wind chimes, etc). I have a lovely brother and sister and wonderful nieces and nephews that I love very much. I am from Wyoming and we live in Florida where it is much warmer and I can go to the beach all the time. I play Nintendo, some Hearthstone, and card games but WoW is the primary game that I play.
19) Finally, please post a screenshot of your UI so we can see what it looks like. You can list any hidden addons or keybindings which are useful for your playstyle, particularly if they're hidden and not immediately obvious from the screenshot. I use my A,S, D, F for general movement and surrounding keys for spell casting. I use my 10-key pad for spell-casting. I use the keyboard primarily and the mouse when necessary.
